2012 NSW Wedding Photographer of the Year – Runner Up!  (Yipee)

I’m Heath Wade and together with the Irish princess (my lovely wife, Mairead) we run our boutique photography studio, ‘Heath Wade Photography’.

We started out as fresh-faced young pups back in 2000, taking and selling lots of local landscapes. It wasn’t long before Mairead traded the classroom for the studio and I threw off my sparky’s pliers for life behind the camera, and we both embraced our new venture together.

After the princess and I had our fantastic wedding in 2005, I experienced a real ‘light bulb moment’, thinking I want to be part of this beautiful madness for other couples. I want to be the one capturing all the lovey-dovey excitement on camera and if I can combine my landscape eye with my loved-up couple’s magic then we can create pictures with real wow factor together!

This quickly transferred to photographing families, in particular young kids. I just love their cheekiness, zest for life, sense of adventure and unpredictability. It cracks me up when they play and pose and have really good fun in front of the camera.

Fast forward to today and I feel so lucky to be doing what I love, with my love and being recognised for it really is the icing on the cake, with State and National awards and many ecstatic clients.
