Well HELLO there, we're Heath & Mairead Wade, together we run our photography studio, Heath Wade Photography, in Hamilton, NSW, Australia.
Heath first started photography as a hobby on his way from London to Beijing on the Trans-Siberian railway in 1999. He was addicted!
Heath Wade Photography was born in 2000, photographing & selling local landscapes. It wasn't long before I traded the classroom for the studio & Heath threw off his Electrician's pliers for a life behind the camera.
Our fantastic Hunter Valley wedding in 2005, inspired Heath to create beautiful wedding portraits for other couples. By combining his passion for Landscapes with Wedding Photography, plus his quirky sense of humour, Heath managed to win 3 consecutive AIPP NSW Wedding Photographer of the year awards from 2013 to 2015.
In 2015 Heath achieved his Master Photographer accreditation with the AIPP which had been a long term goal of his.
In the last couple of years, Heath's interest has diversified into portraiture and particularly Studio based portraits. He loves the beauty and timeless nature of classic portraiture but also like to spice it up with a twist of humour or an underlying narrative which has become his personal style.
We feel very privileged to be creating beautiful & authentic portraits for all the wonderful families that cross our studio threshold and are passionate about producing charming portraits that deserve pride of place in your home.
After being a finalist in 2017, Heath was awarded the current 2018 NSW AIPP Portrait photographer of the Year title, which he's pretty chuffed about.
When he's not working, he loves cycling, old Honda's and laughing (lots and out loud!) with myself and our 2 girls.
